OCW this is for you!!
So Monday was a typical 4 week appointment with the MW. It went well! I have decided, and with approval from her, to no longer step on my scale at home, and go by their weight gain total. That's 11 lbs. Not too shabby since in the past 4 weeks, I gained about 5.5 lbs. This boy was growing and she had warned me prior to this appointment he would! She said it should slow down now, so that's ok by me.
We talked about the growing pains I've been having, and ankle swelling. My BP was 116/60, and urine great so she is not worried one bit. I also got a plan for weaning off of my happy pills. I'm scared as shit, not going to lie, but it must be done! I can do this, I know I can!
Next up.... in 4 weeks will be the rhogam shot and 1 hour glucose test. After that, I'll be going once every 2 weeks! Holy hell its flying by fast!!!
And now for a survey:
*How far along?: 23 weeks 5 days
*Total weight gain: 11 lbs
*How big is baby?: About the size of an ear of corn, about a foot long
*Sleep?: Wake up roughly 3 times a night to pee. Sleeping on my side only now which is not the best, but at least I'm sleeping.
*How are you feeling physically?: Heartburn has settled down, which is a-ok by me. Some growing pains here and there, but other than that, I feel fantastic!
*How are you feeling emotionally?: It was a rough week. Lots of tears.
*Best moment this week?: Feeling this sweet boy kick from the outside. Completing our registry!!
*Movement?: Yes, increasing all of the time.
*Food cravings?: I'm starting to love salads again!
*Food aversions?: Still don't want chicken.
*Labor signs?: Nope
*What I miss: Right now, the sun. Totally unrelated to pregnancy, but hey you asked and I haven't seen it lately.
*What I'm looking forward to: June and my slow season!!!

Survey time since its been forever!
*How far along?: 21 Weeks (From last Friday)
*Total weight gain: 10 lbs according to my scale, less according to the MW
*How big is baby?: The size of a banana. Was a cantelope last week, so this seems backwards to me.
*Sleep?: Wake up roughly 3 times a night to pee. Sleeping on my side only now which is not the best, but at least I'm sleeping.
*How are you feeling physically?: Well, heartburn kind of kicks my ass, and I'm having some gall bladder issues. I am trying to alter my diet, however food aversions are not helping that. Tired from working 6 days a week and traveling, but I have 1 more month-ish left, then its smooth sailing.
*How are you feeling emotionally?: Well, I am doing better with the weight gain and constantly questioning if I'm too big, or just right. I am accepting my growing belly better which is the way it should be. I am overall happy and excited. I don't want to rush this pregnancy but I can't wait to meet my little boy!!!
*Best moment this week?: Feeling more and more movement
*Movement?: Yes, increasing all of the time.
*Food cravings?: I just want carbs and italian food which is counter productive to the heart burn.
*Food aversions?: Chicken. Some meats but only if they are in things. The thought of a juicy burger does not sound appealing at all.
*Labor signs?: Nope
*What I miss: A glass or three of wine. A cold beer on a sunny day. Sleeping on my stomach.
*What I'm looking forward to: To see our little boy again!! We couldn't see the facial features all that well on the anatomy scan so we're having a repeat next week.
*Random Thoughts: I can't wait to know what this little man is going to look like, who he will take after, what kind of man he'll grow up to be.

So hello there
Long time, no posts. Yes, I suck. But, we have had a lot going on, and my travel schedule has been crazy, and if I give you pictures of our little one, you'll forgive me, right!? Wellll I have had a lot of exciting things going on since I last posted. Where to start....
Official NT scan results are in, and look great! I am way above the odds for my age, and there is nothing that suggests a cause for worry so we are thrilled with that!
Movement! It is the weirdest, most fantastical thing ever. I thought I felt a few things here and there on my trip across country, however I just attributed that to a bumpy bus ride, or airplane turbulence. It wasn't until I was home, a few days later, around 17 weeks and a few days, I was in bed starting to fall asleep. All of a sudden. THUMP. There was no mistaken this little one was making its presence known. I continue to feel more and more movement each day and absolutely love it!
Two weeks later, we had the big anatomy scan. Great news, we got the money shot!
That's right! IT IS A BOY!!!!!! It was awesome to see Mr. W grinning from ear to ear and to hear him say "I knew it!" even though he really didn't know it, he was just hoping. I was so shocked I almost fell off of the table. I was totally expecting a girl. For so many reasons. So, here are some more pictures of Mr. Brady Easton!!
So we have the money shots, the head and body shots, a foot with itty bitty toes, and of course our upside down boy. That's a long, skinny leg you see with the torso on the right. He also has quite the personality already. He doesn't like to stay still for measurements and when the tech measured his head, he shook his head no! What a little character already!
